Besides the project, I teach English and PE at the Nell Breuning Berufskolleg in Frechen, Germany, which is near the city of Cologne. I love working with students and enabling them to work with other kids in Europe makes me really happy.

Marc Hempel:

Hi, I'm Marc Hempel and coordinate the project together with Gerrit Kolbe at the Nell-Breuning-Berufskolleg. As a teacher of English and Spanish, I love experiencing different cultures and getting to know new people and things. In projects like this, you learn so much about yourself and others and enabling students to do so is a great opportunity!

Cyprus

Hello, I’m Evie Nicolaou, and I have been teaching English as a Foreign Language for the past 18 years. I currently work at the Third Technical & Vocational School of Limassol in Cyprus, where I teach English to students aged 15–18 from a variety of fields, including Cooking & Catering, Graphic Design & Arts, Computer Programming, and Agriculture, among others.

I am also the founder and coordinator of the school’s Debate Club, where I guide students in exploring global issues while developing their critical thinking, communication, and public speaking skills.

I have a passion for traveling and discovering new languages, cultures, and traditions. Participating in Erasmus+ programmes with my students is especially rewarding, as it allows us to broaden our horizons and learn through meaningful intercultural experiences.
